Young Ploughers of Romney Marsh is a series I made at the end of summer 2025, peering into the world of agriculture and the long-standing tradition of the ploughing match.

Competitors show off their skill and precision on a range of tractors, and are judged on the straightness, neatness, depth, and uniformity of their furrows.

Long associated with an older generation, I deliberately focused my attention to documenting the young generation who are carrying forward this generational tradition.
